Huronia Museum's Museum Town Project

Huronia Museum’s upcoming Museum Town project aims to place a series of historical plaques in culturally significant locations in and around Midland, Ontario. The plaques will feature a paragraph or two about the history of the location and a relevant photo or image. Each plaque will also feature a QR code, which is a small square that can be read by smartphones and other web-enabled mobile devices. The codes will direct users to a specially made website that features more information about the location, including photos and videos. Users will also have the opportunity to add their own comments about the location, adding to our first-hand knowledge of Midland’s history.

To assist the museum in making this project as valuable as possible for the community, we’re asking for your thoughts about this project. By taking just a few minutes to fill out this survey, you will help us to make Museum Town a great success.
